pattern above is really beat 1, then apart from the one lead in beat the riff is composed of a bar
of 4/4 and a bar of 5/8.  Play an A5 chord with a downstroke just before beat 8, then play another
one at the beginning of a new bar and hold until the next occurrence of the riff; generally, though
